Theology of Supervision: Awakening and Transformation in Clinical Pastoral Education
Abstract
In this paper I describe my theology of awakening to Spirit within andbecoming an expression of Spirit’s love in the world. This theology presumes
that persons have a dual center of personality—ego and Self—and
that they are shaped by relationships and the larger culture. The primary
theologians informing my supervision are Paul Knitter, Ann Ulanov, and
Thomas Keating.
