The Discernment Unit as a Tool in the Applicant Selection Process in Supervisory Clinical Pastoral Education
Abstract
Our hope is that the Discernment Unit could provide this kind of intentional process for the potential SES and for the CPE supervisor(s) considering bringing a student into a Supervisory CPE program. The Discernment Unit is a tool that could benefit from further study and may provide significant aid in the selection process. Although the context for this Discernment Unit was Clinical Pastoral Education, other disciplines that need to select people qualified to function as pastoral supervisors could benefit from examining this pilot project.Downloads
